Hi I’m Lindsay,
the woman behind the quilts.

I named my shop after my daughter Henrietta.

My own mom was a textile major and she taught me how to sew. This skill, along with my love of drawing, guided me to explore the intersection of craft and design as a lifelong practice.

I am an artist living with cancer.  My mother lives with dementia. I’ve lost portions of my family history to my mother’s disease, but I do not intend to lose mine to cancer. I owe it to my young daughter and to myself to create and share a legacy.

My perspective on the beauty and fragility of life inspires me and drives my work towards the act of preservation.

Themes of the body, erosion, time, and legacy can be found in my quilts and weavings. I’m inspired by the concept of the heirloom; objects that tie generations together, cherished keepsakes and the value and memories they share.

Quilting is a form of therapy for me and inspires all facets of my imagination. If you’d like to commission a work or are interested in exhibiting my work, I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by!
